Is mineral content the same as silica content?

For a project on volcanoes, I need to know the mineral content of the lava in cinder cones, composites, and shields. However, there is nowhere on the internet that has the mineral content, but it has info on silica content. So, if it says shield volcanoes have low silica content, can I just assume that they also have low mineral content?
