Should I pop my stye on my eye?

i have a stye on my bottom line of lashes and it is filled with puss and very obvious! Ive tried putting hot compresses on it but it hasn't gone down. its at a point where i can take the bristles of a washcloth and pop it. should i? i know its bad to pop a stye but its really clearly filled. what will happen if i pop it? thanks!
